These methods will show how to program the remote no matter what brand of garage door opener you have (Genie, Stanley, Chamberlain, Stanley, Linear, Wayne Dalton). The KLIK1U is the most popular and best selling remote for garage doors. This 2 button remote can be programmed by using the Smart Learn button or by using the Dip switches. FIRST, Before you begin programming your KLIK1U Remote:
Start with your garage door closed.
Identify the garage door opener type brand or manufacturer.
Choose to either use the DIP Switch or the Smart/Learn button.
(The Smart/Learn Button is a preferred and easier method)
Find type and color of the Smart/Learn.
Refer to your garage door opener manual if needed.

Programming Method for Chamberlain Garage Door Remote KLIK1U.
NOTE: Master Mechanic, Raynor, True Value, LiftMaster, Do-It, and Sears Craftsman are compatible with Chamberlain.

1 – See Chart below to determine XX of times to press button.
2 – Open battery cover on remote.
3 – Press program button until LED lights.
4 – Press and release the Smart/Learn button on motor unit.
5 – Select a button to program. Press button XX times ensuring LED stops flashing after each press.
6 – Code is accepted when one of the following occurs: motor unit clicks, door opens, or light comes on.
7 – Press program button.
8 – Programming complete. Press selected button to test.
(If unit does not work, return to Step 3.)

If programming fails, reverse DIP switches (OFF to ON and ON to OFF).

If you already have a 3-button remote, DIP switch #1 must be set to “-” if the large button is to open the door.
It may be necessary to reprogram original remote controls.
