KitchenAid Refrigerator Displays Error Code PO And Beeps – What To Check?

My KitchenAid Refrigerator beeps and shows PO error. The display panel shows error code “PO”. There is a CONFIRM button on the display and when I press it, it resets the PO error code and the beeping issue stops and all is good. However, 10 minutes later the error code “PO” displays once AGAIN and the fridge beeps continuously. The lights on the deli drawer are not working. The model number of my KitchenAid French Door Refrigerator is KFIV29PCMS or KRMF706EBS, it is rubbed off and hard to make out the numbers so I hope one of the model numbers is valid. Any idea why this happens? What parts do you think I need to test or replace?

NOTE: Before replacing any parts, attempt to RESET your KitchenAid Refrigerator by unplugging it from power for 5 to 10 minutes. This may reset the control board and fix the issue. If not, continue reading below.

Appliance technicians have seen the “PO” error code and experienced the beeping on the KitchenAid French Door Refrigerator, here is what can be tested or replaced to fix the PO error code:
First: Always unplug the refrigerator from power to avoid shock or damaging the control board(s) when troubleshooting your refrigerator.
1 – Po error code fix = Replace the Control Board
2 – Po error code fix = Replace the Power Supply Board
These 2 parts can cause the PO error code, we recommend to check these parts before replacing them. It can be either one that is causing the PO error code and beeping.

NOTE: It may be possible the KitchenAid French Door Refrigerator is seeing the Pantry drawer is open. Try shutting the Pantry Drawer. If it is closed and no LED lights illuminate, the UI might be the cause. You will need to replace the Control Board part number.

If you still have the issue after replacing the Control Board, replacing the Power Supply Board may fix the problem.
If you have to press the confirm button and then it works for 5 or 10 minutes, then if you hear a clicking sound (a relay click), the complete refrigerator may power off and then turn back on.
The KitchenAid fridge would do this over and over. Replacing the Power Supply Board is what fixes the issue when you hear the clicking of the relay and the fridge turns ON and OFF over and over.

  1. Kitchen Aid kfis29bbbl03 2014 french door model stopped cooling all compartments.
Not iced up, both fans and condenser working but is getting hot.
No dust buildup on cooling fins.
Also replaced control board and is not in vaca or showroom mode.
Is there a code to reset the whole system? I bought just 3 months ago.
