Aircraft Fuel Systems Technician

I served as an F-16 fuel systems technician, and was honorably discharged as a Technical Sergeant (E-6) in the US Air Force. The job demanded precision under pressure: fluid dynamics, high-pressure lines, electrical troubleshooting, and zero tolerance for guessing. I inspected, repaired, and maintained fuel cells, boost pumps, and valves throughout the aircraft, and troubleshot fuel system malfunctions down to the component level using technical orders and test equipment. I was hazmat-certified for hydrazine response — the rocket-grade fuel used in the F-16’s emergency power unit — responding to hydrazine activations and leaks. Multiple combat deployments (Operation Northern Watch/Operation Southern Watch/Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom).
