Electrolux Dishwasher Error Codes – How To Clear – What To Check

If your dishwasher finds, sees, or detects a fault or error in the system, it will show an error or fault code. The error code will display where the usual numbers are on the display screen. Electrolux Dishwasher Error Code = Delay Lights Flashing
Fault Condition: Heating Element Fail (The water did not get to the proper temp after a certain amount of time)
Repair or Check: The heating element may have burned out. Test with a multimeter for continuity. If the heating element does not have continuity replace it.

Fault Condition: Door Is Locked
Repair or Check: Press and hold the AIR DRY pad button for 3 seconds while the door is latched (or door open on newer models). This will unlock the control pad and the light goes out. The unit will display the last cycle ran.

Fault Condition: Water Leak Is Detected (Sensor under the dishwasher detected a leak)
Repair or Check: Remove power to the dishwasher. Check hoses, pumps, and tub to find the leak. Replace any parts leaking.
Parts Required: Drain Hose – Drain Pump – Recirculation Pump

Fault Condition: Thermistor Sensor Fail
Repair or Check: Remove power power to the dishwasher and check the thermistor sensor circuit wiring. If the wiring checks out then replace the thermistor sensor.

Fault Condition: Wash Motor Fail
Repair or Check: Remove power to the dishwasher. Inspect the wiring for the wash motor. If the wiring checks out then check for an blockage in the pump. Replace the wash motor if the pump is not blocked and the wiring checks out.

Fault Condition: Upper Fan Fail
Repair or Check: Remove power to the dishwasher and check the wiring for the upper fan. If the wiring checks out then replace the upper fan.

Repair or Check: A switch on the user interface is possibly defective. Replace the complete user interface.

Fault Condition: Communication Fail From User Interface Control TO Electronic Control Board
Repair or Check: Remove power to the dishwasher and check for any loose wiring connections between the user interface control and the electronic control board. If the wires and connections check out then replace the user interface control. If the problem persists then replace the electronic control board.

Electrolux Dishwasher Error Code 10
Fault Condition: Electronic Control Board (Relay) Fail
Repair or Check: A relay on the electronic control board possibly failed. Replace the complete electronic control board.

Fault Condition: Drain Valve Fail
Repair or Check: Remove power to the dishwasher and check the wiring for the drain valve. If the wiring checks out then replace the drain valve.

Fault Condition: Drain Valve Position (Drain valve has activated when it should be turned off)
Repair or Check: Remove power to the dishwasher. Check the drain valve wiring for an issue. If the wiring checks out then replace the electronic control board. (This is because the drain valve relay on the control board is stuck) If the problem persists then replace the drain valve.

Fault Condition: Electronic Control Board Fail
Repair or Check: The control board has a component failure. Replace the complete electronic control board.

Inconsistency between level on electronic pressure switch and level on anti boiling pressure switch.

Electrolux Dishwasher Error Code 50
Fault on the wash motor circuit. On some Electrolux dishwashers the motor has a control board located at the back at the bottom just behind the wash motor.

  1. My Electrolux dishlex model D/DX403WB/W keeps showing a 60 number and beeping during the wash cycle. The 60 is not mentioned in the fault guide

  2. I have an EIDW6105GS1 that all the lights flashing(no display).
    When powering down and back up I hit normal wash that light lights up but when I hit start they all come back on.
    Please Help!!!
