    Jamie,
It sounds as if the Whirlpool Cabrio Touch screen Washer was overloaded and needs to be either reset or it may be out of balance.
Was the washer, in your opinion, overloaded?
Have you tried unplugging the washing machine for 10 minutes to attempt a reset?

  10. One month ago I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Touchscreen Washer, model # WTW7300DW1. Last night there were problems with it. I did a load that consisted of a thin blanket and a Queen size mattress cover. When it got to the rinse and spin cycle the water would not stop and the digital counter got larger instead of smaller. Finally I figured out how to force it into rinse and spin. Now when I turn the washer on there are three colored dots under the digital display. One is red, one is blue, and one green. My guess is it has to be reset but I don’t know how to do it. I called Whirlpool and a tech is coming out tomorrow. Does this sound like a reset issue?

  11. I did the diagnosis test on my Whirlpool cabrio and it says first cl then f0 E0 what does that mean?

  12. I have a whirlpool cabrio model wtw8040dw0. I ran a diagnostic test and code f7 e9 displayed. I was wondering if someone could tell me what parts I would need to order to get my washer up and running again. This washer is only four months old. We had a flood in our basement.

    Bob Maurer,
CL code on your Cabrio washer is displayed at the beginning of the fault code display mode. The CL indicates that the test is activated.
If the green light is ON, it means it is getting power. The green light can still illuminate if the board is faulty.
It sounds like you have a board issue.

Troubleshoot….. Follow all wires and wire harnesses to be sure all is secure and the washer vibration is not causing a harness to loosen while the washer is in cycle.
If no wiring issues or other component issues are found, we would recommend to replace the board.

  14. My Cabrio washer WTW5810BW0 when you press the start button the timer goes from 45 to 10. The washer makes a faint growling sonud and after 4 minutes the screen goes blank. When I cycle it through to get the diagnostics codes I get a CL. Looking at the back of the control board a green light is on, which I am told indicated the control board is ok. Any suggestion on what to do to get my washer working?

  15. I have run the diagnostic and get the error code F81. Am I able to reset this? How if so?

  16. DIY Project Help Tips

    Michael Bradshaw,
PF error code = POWER FAILURE
This means the power went out during a wash cycle.
Unplug the washer for 5 minutes and it should clear it.
