I have split air conditioning system and pay for service when leak occurs which is over 120$ each time. Now the problem is this occurs frequently during the season so I will like to know if this a normal situation in this kind of system
Concerning a spilt system AC, I usually just go outside to the end of the drainage hose and use my shop vacuum to pull any gunk out of the hose, between cleanings.

Our Air con unit is leaking water.
I think it is the drain pipe and I tried to follow your video on how to unblock it by removing the filters, cover and locating the pipe.
The problem is when I have found the pipe there appears to be two pipes which go into one which are held together by tape towards the left and side of the unit (as you look at it) and then a further 1 pipe towards the right of the unit.
I am confused as this looks very different to the unit on your video which appears to just have one pipe with a gap in the middle.
I have also looked outside for the drainage pipe on the outside unit but cannot find it anywhere.
