How To Fix A Dishwasher That Will Not Turn On?
- Be sure you are pressing the correct button to power on.
- Check that the dishwasher is getting power.

Pressing the power button on the dishwasher?
There are many buttons on your dishwasher. Be sure you are pressing the START, POWER, or ON button to turn the dishwasher on. If you are pressing the correct power button on your dishwasher panel, check to see if it is getting power or if the dishwasher is plugged in.
Is the dishwasher plugged in?
Check the power cord that is located under the kitchen sink. Make sure the dishwasher power plug is plugged in and secure in the outlet. Check the power cord for damage. If the power cord is damaged or frayed, remove it and replace the cord with a new one.

Is the dishwasher getting power?

Is the dishwasher door latched properly?
Make sure the door is shut all the way closed. If the dishwasher door latch isn’t engaged, a small switch prevents the dishwasher from turning on.
