Pressing the power button on the dishwasher?
There are many buttons on your dishwasher. Be sure you are pressing the START, POWER, or ON button to turn the dishwasher on. If you are pressing the correct power button on your dishwasher panel, check to see if it is getting power or if the dishwasher is plugged in.
Is the dishwasher plugged in?
Check the power cord that is located under the kitchen sink. Make sure the dishwasher power plug is plugged in and secure in the outlet. Check the power cord for damage. If the power cord is damaged or frayed, remove it and replace the cord with a new one.
Is the dishwasher plugged into a GFCI outlet?

Is the dishwasher getting power?
Make sure power is reaching the dishwasher. There may be another issue besides the main breaker or a GFCI outlet being tripped. Is the dishwasher door latched properly?
Make sure the door is shut all the way closed. If the dishwasher door latch isn’t engaged, a small switch prevents the dishwasher from turning on. Examine both sides of the latch for anything that might be preventing it from shutting correctly. Check for any broken components or problems with the door. The door latch may be faulty and need to be replaced.
Is the dishwasher child safety lock engaged?
A child lock function is built into most dishwashers to prevent children from interrupting, opening, or adjusting the cycle settings on the dishwasher.
