The Hall Sensor is usually related with the 3E error. However if you have the inclination the hall sensor is bad from a DC error, here is the parts list of everything in the Samsung WA5451 Washer Tub Parts Manual. (You may have an issue with the vibration sensor – see part 2-83 in the parts list)
The DC error occurs when the Samsung washer is unable to spin due to an unbalanced load. In the same manner as to when the UE error occurs, redistribute the items inside the washer and press the Start/Pause button to clear this error.

Hello, I have a WA5451, and am getting consistent DC error. I have already replaced the Dampening Rods, and this didn’t help at all.
I have read it might be the Hall Sensor? However, I can not find a way to test if that is the problem. If someone could tell me the best way to test, to find out the correct part to replace, would be very helpful!
I am waiting with my multimeter, and screwdriver in hand!
Washer won’t agitate…. just goes around very slow. I don’t think the timer moves either. HELP. Only 3 years old
I have a Samsung WA5451 and it shows error code 3E. I have checked for loose connections. It will run a full cycle throwing no codes if empty. When I put clothes in the code is thrown again…Any ideas?

You may have a transmission, bearing, motor issue, etc… Safely open the washer up and check inside for what may be causing the grinding noise issue. Let us know what you find.
