TIP: To clear any error press the pause button and this will normally make it disappear and the washer will go into pause.

LG Washer Error = Heating Sensor Error
CHECK / REPAIR / FIX = Check wiring connections on the drum thermistor (temperature sensor).
It should measure about 40,000ohms at 85 degrees.
If defective then replace it. Check the heating element for damage.
If the heating element is defective then replace it.

LG Washer Error = Drive Motor Locked Error
CHECK / REPAIR / FIX = Check the wire harness connections on the motor and the hall sensor (tachometer).
Repair any wiring issues.
If the wiring connections check good then check for damaged motor components.
Replace if needed.
If motor is good the replace the hall sensor.

LG Washing Machine Error Code = EE
LG Washer Error = EEPROM Error On Electronic Control Board
CHECK / REPAIR / FIX = The EEPROM on the control board is corrupted.
Clear the code by unplugging the washer for 10 minutes.
If the code doesn’t go away when you restore power then replace the main control board.

LG Front Load Washer Error Code = CE
CURRENT ERROR
Loose Wires – Motor Fault Error – Main Power Control Board Error
Check for loose wiring – OHM motor to check if motor is good – Replace main board

LG Washing Machine Error Code = PF
LG Washer Error = Power Fail
CHECK / REPAIR / FIX = A power failure occurred during the cycle.

LG Washing Machine Error Code = IE
LG Washer Error = Inlet Water Supply Error
CHECK / REPAIR / FIX = The initial water level not reached in 8 minutes.
Check the inlet water valve.
If the valves are bad replace the inlet water valve assembly.
If the water valves check good then replace the main electronic control board.

LG Washing Machine Error Code = UE
LG Washer Error = Unbalanced Load
CHECK / REPAIR / FIX = Redistribute the clothes in the washer.
Make sure the washer is properly leveled.

LG Washing Machine Error Code = OE
LG Washer Error = Draining Error
CHECK / REPAIR / FIX = Washer did not drain within 10 minutes.
Check the washer drain for a clog.

LG Washing Machine Error Code = FE
LG Washer Error = Water Over Flow Error
CHECK / REPAIR / FIX = The drain pump runs constantly when the FE error code is displayed.
Check the inlet water valves to see if they shut off the water supply properly after the washer is filled.

LG Washer Error = Water Level Pressure Sensor Error
CHECK / REPAIR / FIX = Check wiring between the water level pressure sensor and the main control board.
If the wiring is good then replace the water level pressure sensor

LG Washing Machine Error Code = dE
LG Washer Error = Door Open Error
CHECK / REPAIR / FIX = Check the door for blockage.
If the door closes properly then check the door lock switch assembly wiring.

LG Washing Machine Error Code = CL
Child lock engaged

LG Washing Machine Error Code = OE
Washing machine has failed to drain the water

LG Washing Machine Error Code = IE (may look like 1E)
Water fill time out – Water Inlet Valve

Washing machine door detected as being open

Washing machine has detected an imbalanced load
